ABOUT

SARAH ANNIE

I create editorial-inspired brand photography for creative women in Austin, Texas. I work with designers, educators, artists, performers, and creative founders who are stepping into a new chapter and need images that finally match the depth of their work. Not stiff headshots. Not overly polished brand photos. Not a version of you that feels styled into someone else’s idea of success. Just bold, human images built with care, direction, and enough room for your real presence to come through.

My work has always been rooted in creativity and movement. As an artist, photographer, creative director, dancer, and color expert, I bring more than a camera to the room. I bring a way of seeing. I think through mood, color, shape, pacing, wardrobe, location, and how your body feels inside the frame, so the shoot never feels random or unsupported.

Most brand photography asks you to show up confident before you feel ready. My process works differently. The experience is planned with warmth, structure, and flexibility, so you are guided without being pushed.

Before the shoot, we’ll shape the creative direction, styling, mood, and image goals together. During the shoot, I’ll guide you through movement, small shifts, pauses, and real-time direction so you’re not stuck wondering what to do with your hands, face, or body.

This matters because creative people are often confident in their work, but not always confident being the face of it. You may have outgrown your current images. You may hate the idea of looking corporate, generic, or too “branded.” You may worry that a photographer won’t understand your taste, your work, or the quiet way you want to be seen. I built this work for exactly that: colorful worlds, calm in the process, movement-led direction, and nothing generic.

My goal is simple: to help creatives make more of what they’re truly called to create, and to give you images that help you trust your own creative voice. The result is not just a gallery of beautiful photos. It’s a visual language you can use across your website, social media, launches, press, and the next version of your work. Images that feel mature. Images that feel alive. Images that help you show up without feeling like you have to become someone else first.

My work has been featured in, Texas Monthly, The Austin Chronicle, Sightlines Magazine & EASTside Magazine

“A dancer and photographer, floating skillfully between these worlds.”

— AUSTIN CHRONICLE

“fast becoming the go-to photographer of the Austin dance community…”

— TEXAS MONTHLY

LET’S SHAPE YOUR VISION

DANCER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR, OBSERVER OF HOW PEOPLE MOVE THROUGH THE WORLD

My path to photography began with movement. As a former professional dancer, I learned how much people communicate through subtle shifts — how they stand, breathe, and move through space.

That awareness now shapes how I direct and photograph. I guide people through nervous system safety, embodied confidence and movement that help them settle into themselves and share their power.

The result - imagery that feels editorial, grounded, and unmistakably their own.
